Ashleigh Morris (BSpPath)Ashleigh Morris is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, registered with Speech Pathology Australia. Ashleigh has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland. After completing her degree, she moved to Darwin where she provided speech pathology services in the Education system in both metropolitan and remote areas, and developed skills in the areas of speech, language, literacy and hearing impairment.
On her return from the Northern Territory, Ashleigh worked for QLD Disability Services, working with children with communication and feeding difficulties aged 0-6 years. She then worked in the private sector, specialising in servicing children and adults with disabilities through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Ashleigh is passionate about increasing interaction and engagement to promote communication, and finding alternative communication strategies to help people express themselves. Her special interests include; · Augmentative and Alternative Communication (PECS and PODD trained) · Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder (DIR Floortime trained) · Speech and articulation delay · Early development and late talkers (Hanen trained) · School age language and literacy |
